Summary
AutoFill is a desktop and web app for a financial brokerage that auto-fills PDF application forms, pension and protection products, using contact data pulled from their CRM. What used to be minutes of manual retyping per form becomes a single click.
The problem
Advisors filled the same client details into dozens of provider PDF forms by hand, over and over. It was slow, error-prone, and did not scale as the contact base grew into the thousands. Every new form template normally meant another developer request.
What I built
- CRM sync that pulls 8,000+ contacts with a live progress indicator.
- One-click fill: search a contact, review and edit details, and fill any of 13 supported provider forms.
- A no-code mapping tool so staff can add new PDF templates without a developer.
- A settings UI for credentials and a Save As flow for output, packaged as a Windows executable via an automated build pipeline.
Why it matters
It removed a daily, repetitive bottleneck for the advisory team and made the system self-extending: new forms get added in-house instead of through a developer, so the tool keeps paying off long after handoff.
Tech
Desktop and web application, CRM API integration, a PDF auto-fill engine, a no-code form-mapping tool, and an automated Windows build pipeline.
